City of Carlinville City Council met March 21

City of Carlinville City Council met March 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Downey, Alderman Harber, Alderman Koller, Alderman LeVora, Alderman Link, Alderman McClain, Alderman Wagstaff, Alderman Ober, Mayor Sarah Oswald, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, City Treasurer Jody Reichmann, Police Chief Haley, Brian Zilm Zoning/Economic Dev/Grant Writing Absent: Woodard and Curran Representative Dan Held

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Wagstaff to approve minutes, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills - Motion was made to approve bills by Alderman Harber, seconded Link, motion passed unanimously.

Correspondence 

Kara Frankford – Charity Baptist Church – Approval was given for Charity Baptist Church youth to carry a large wooden cross from Boente Shell West to the Carlinville City Square on April 15th, 2022, at 5 p.m., after a motion was made by Alderman McClain, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.

None

Old Business 

IARWC Update – Informational only, no action.

New Business 

Ordinance Amending Video Gaming License Fee – A ordinance to change video gaming fee from $25.00 to $125.00 was approved after a motion was made by Alderman Ober, seconded by Koller, motion passed unanimously.

Accept Offer on Cabin at 16851 Lakepoint Drive and Approval of Lease -

Accept Offer on Cabin at 15687 Lake Carlinville Rd and Approval of Lease - A motion to accept both offers of $12,000.00 for 16851 Lakepoint Drive and $15,000.00 for Lake Carlinville Road cabins, as well as the lease transfers associated was made by Alderman Link, seconded by Koller, motion passed unanimously.

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 6:09 p.m., seconded by Koller motion passed unanimously.
