Millikin Cross Country Regionally Ranked to Start Season

Heading into the 2022 season, the Millikin cross country team is regionally ranked in the preseason edition of the NCAA Division III Cross Country Regional Rankings for the 2022 season, as released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Millikin women are ranked sixth in the Midwest Region. The Big Blue are the top team in the rankings from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Wheaton is ranked eighth followed by North Central and Elmhurst.

The Big Blue men are ranked eighth in the Midwest Region. Fellow CCIW competitor North Central is ranked third in the region.

Millikin opens the season on September 2 at the Lewis University Early Bird Meet.

USTFCCCA Regional Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning teams' strength with current season results (if applicable) in determining a rank-order of squad potential. Only USTFCCCA member programs are eligible to receive a ranking.
