Women's basketball claims win with fourth quarter comeback
The women's basketball team was led by Madelyn Stephen's 28 point explosion in their 90-83 win over Fontbonne on Saturday.
Greenville led 21-19 after th5e first quarter and extended the lead to 46-41 at halftime. Fontbonne took a 65-60 after the third quarter, but the conference-leading Panthers outscored Fontbonne 30-18 in the fourth quarter.
Emily Reinneck and Savana Powell-Goodman each reached 18 points for the Panthers, and Reinneck was GU's top rebounder with seven and led in assists with five.
Ally Cantrill and Abigail Reinneck each posted three steals.
The Panthers (11-4, 4-0 SLIAC) travel to Westminster for a game on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
