Millikin Men’s Basketball Loses at Carthage

The Millikin men's basketball team lost at Carthage College 93-80 on February 11 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
 
Carthage controlled the entire game and lead 54-32 at halftime. Millikin battled back in the second half outscoring the Firebirds 48-39.
 
Carthage was red hot shooting the ball making 57 percent (32-56) from the field including shooting 12-22 (54.5 percent) from three-point range.
Millikin shot the ball well making 32-66 (48.5 percent), but only managed 7-19 from beyond the arc.
 
Five Millikin players scored in double figures lead by JT Welch with 20 points. Noah Livingston added 15 points followed by Chase Travis and Drake Stevenson each with 12. Stevenson had a team high nine rebounds.
Demarcus Bond scored 10 points with six rebounds.
 
Five Carthage players were also in double figures led by AJ Johnson with 27 points. Antuan Nesbitt scored 19, Fillip Bulatovic with 16 points, Colton Sigel with 15 points and Julian Campbell with 14.
 
Millikin is now 11-13, 4-11 while Carthage improves to 16-7, 8-6.
