There were seven offenders living in Montgomery County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows all of the released offenders in Montgomery County were men. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2020, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2018.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Jeremiah Holshouser. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2012 when he was 32 years old. He is now 43.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
