There were five offenders living in Jersey County released on parole during the third quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Central Reporter.

The data shows two men and three women were released in Jersey County. The median age of the parolees was 49. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2021, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2021.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Gleason L. Traci. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2021 when she was 21 years old. She is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
