City of Litchfield Tourism Advisory Committee met July 21.

Members present: Vice chairwoman Nancy Hyam, Katie Cross, Brooke Steinmann, Jean Elmore, JacobJones, Lauren Plummer
Members absent: Jean Bruner Jachino, Ann Helgen, David Herschberger, Terry Hancock
Guests present: Kassidy Paine, city council member, and Lindsey Laird of Great Rivers & Routes
City representative present: Stacie Peecher
The meeting was called to order.
Approval of minutes: Brooke Steinmann made a motion to approve the minutes from May 17, 2023 meeting. The motion was seconded by Jean Elmore. All were in favor; none opposed.

Tourism office report: Stacie Peecher said she plans to set up a booth at the upcoming Wing’d Rider event. Maria Eilers volunteered to help. She is also ordering T-shirts, taking applications and preparing for the next pickers market in July.
Chamber announcement: Lauren Plummer reported that the recent golf outing was a success. She mentioned the queen pageant will be on July 29 at the high school. Also, Kismet Coffee will have their ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24.
Hotel update: Brooke Steinmann said they have been busy with the upcoming Wing’d Rider.
Member announcements: No announcements
Lake update: Terry Hancock was not in attendance. Stacie Peecher mentioned that the new inflatable was in use now and that the Google business page reviews were excellent. Kassidy Paine said that the beach was crowded over the past weekend.
Great Rivers & Routes: Lindsey Laird said that the Epic Food Month is going on right now and they are reassessing the program for next year. Java Palooza will be in September and she’s already starting contacting coffee shops. She mentioned that Great Rivers has received a grant for attractions along Route 66.
