2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

3. DISCUSSION OF:

3.1. OSLAD grant application for the improvements at Buzzard Bay Campground including a new parking lot, pavilion, ADA playground equipment, lighting, water line and sanitary sewer extensions and other miscellaneous items.

Lee Beckman gave a brief overview of the project at Buzzard Bay Campground for the OSLAD Grant.

City Manager Hollenkamp said the City has received a lot of positive feedback regarding the campground improvements. There are firepits at each campsite, new siding on the former bait shop, an ADA compliant fishing dock and good numbers for booking campsites. Restrooms that are ADA compliant, a pavilion for parties and more and extensive landscaping is what is planned for this grant.

Karen Gaumer is concerned about Red Ball Trail not being a "slow road". She is concerned about safety and need to get drivers to slow down. Police Chief Stefan Neece said the road is actually a county road, and speeding needs to be addressed with the Sheriff's Department.

Mark Sargis does not like the name "Buzzard Bay". He asked if it could be renamed. Gaumer said the reason they call it that is because there are buzzards out there and have been for years and years. Chance Vohlken said changing the name is not going to change what everyone calls it.

4. ADJOURNMENT

Meeting adjourned at 7:10 PM
