City of Carlinville City Council met Feb. 5.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

PRESENT: Alderman Downey, Alderman Harber, Alderman Ober, Alderman Wagstaff, Alderman Koller, Alderman Link, Alderman LeVora, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, Mayor Oswald, Chief Derek Graham, Budget Officer Linda Boente, City Treasurer Jody Reichmann, Bobbi Bates Zoning Administrator/Econ Dev/Grant Writing, Joe Craven, Absent: Alderman Reese

Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Ober to approve minutes, seconded by Wagstaff, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills - Motion was made to approve bills by Alderman Koller, seconded by Link, motion passed unanimously.

Correspondence

Carlinville Queen Pageant Correspondence – Motion was made to approve request to sell Krispy Kremes on the square on February 24th by Alderman Harber, seconded by LeVora, motion passed unanimously.

Jon Convery (Brave Hazel) Correspondence – Motion was made to approve request for use of the square on April 26-27th and October 11-12th for Brave Days event by Alderman Wagstaff, seconded by Koller, motion passed unanimously.

Public Comment

Alderman Harber let the council know that Façade Grant applications will be discussed at Finance Committee.

New Business

Ordinance Approving Changes to the Carlinville Code of Ordinances (Nuisance Remedies) – Motion was made to pass ordinance by Alderman Harber, seconded by Link, motion passed unanimously.

Ordinance Amending Carlinville Ordinance No. 1815 to Add Territory to the Macoupin Co. Enterprise Zone – Motion to pass ordinance was made by Alderman Downey, seconded by Harber, motion passed unanimously.

New Business - None

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 6:12 p.m., seconded by Koller motion passed unanimously.
