City of Carlinville City Council met Feb. 19.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
PRESENT: Alderman Downey, Alderman Harber, Alderman Ober, Alderman Wagstaff, Alderman Koller, Alderman Link, Alderman Reese, Alderman LeVora, City Clerk Carla Brockmeier, Mayor Oswald, Chief Derek Graham, Budget Officer Linda Boente, Dan Held Woodard and Curran, Absent: Treasurer Jody Reichmann, Bobbi Bates Zoning Administrator/Econ Dev/Grant Writing
Approval of Previous Minutes - Motion was made by Alderman Ober to approve minutes, seconded by Wagstaff, motion passed unanimously.
Approval of Bills - Motion was made to approve bills by Alderman Koller, seconded by Downey, motion passed unanimously.

Correspondence
Charity Baptist Correspondence – Motion was made to approve request by Charity Baptist Church to use the square on March 29 by Alderman Ober, seconded by LeVora, motion passed unanimously.
Public Comment
Alderman Ober remined the public to communicate with the police department directly, if they witness any illegal activity.
Alderman Harber reminded the council that the new budget is in the works, Locis representatives will be here on March 7th to help with the process.
Old Business
Lake Lease Renewal – Motion was made to renew seven lake leases, by Alderman Harber, seconded by Koller, motion passed unanimously.
3rd Quarter Budget Review- Alderman Harber gave an update on the 3rd quarter budget being at 63% revenue and 58% expense. Short discussion took place, no actions.
New Business
Gansz Correspondence/Re-Hire Police Officer -Motion was made by Alderman Link to approve and place resignation on file, and to re-hire an officer, seconded by Ober, motion passed unanimously.
Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Downey at 6:18 p.m., seconded by Koller motion passed unanimously.
