Illinois State Senator Plummer has expressed concerns regarding Governor Pritzker's handling of various issues affecting the state. Regarding the ongoing migrant crisis in Illinois, Senator Plummer criticized the Governor, stating, "the Governor spent years encouraging non-citizens to come to Illinois, and is now trying to avoid responsibility for the problem he created."

In response to the state's new gun restriction law, known as the "Protect Illinois Communities Act," Senator Plummer voiced his opposition, believing that it was unconstitutional and unfairly criminalized law-abiding citizens. He emphasized his stance by saying, "Senator Plummer opposed the new law because he believed that it was unconstitutional and turns otherwise law-abiding citizens into criminals."

Furthermore, Senator Plummer highlighted the neglect of the safety and well-being of children under the care of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). He pointed out that the Pritzker administration has failed in ensuring the security and success of these children, stating, "Senator Plummer says the state has a responsibility to ensure the safety, security, and success of children under state care, which has been neglected by the Pritzker administration for far too long."
