Macoupin County Board Building and Grounds Committee met April 30.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
I. CALL TO ORDER
PRESENT: Starr, Ibberson, Barr (Remote), Blank, Heuer, Kilduff (Remote), Trevino, Duncan
ABSENT:
Blank and Kilduff were participating virtually due to employment purposes.
II. AGENDA ITEMS
1. Opening of Courthouse HVAC Bids
There were three bids received for the project. Leonetti opened the bids in the order in which they were received. The base bid was for all of the work doing standard working hours. The alternate bid #1 was for off hour premium work.
Jen Mechanical - $3,514,457 base bid 1, alternate bid 1 $3,890,355
Johnco Construction - $3,783,000 base bid 1, alternate bid 1 $535,000 in addition to base bid
RL Vollintine - $4,420,000, alternate bid 1 $5,210,000
After the bid opening, the committee discussed the bids and directed the architect to reach out to Jen Mechanical to confirm that the bid price was good and they would meet the following week to review.
