FOIA Request to Pana City Council Regarding Information about Current Council Members on October 15, 2024.
In our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at South Central Reporter have submitted a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140) to the Pana City Council.
The request seeks detailed information about the current council members of the Pana City Council. Specifically, we have asked for a list that includes each member's name, title, year of appointment, term length (2 or 4 years), and term expiration date.
As a media organization dedicated to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe that access to such records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
