FOIA Request to City of Vandalia Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at South Central Reporter have submitted a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140). The request was sent to the City of Vandalia and seeks information about all currently unpaid parking violations.
The specifics of the request include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date of the violation, and the total amount due. We believe that this information is essential in holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
