FOIA Request to City of Bunker Hill Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
In a bid to ensure transparency and hold public institutions accountable, we at South Central Reporter have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of Bunker Hill. The request, sent on October 28, 2024, seeks detailed information about all unpaid parking violations in the city.
The specific records requested under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act include a list of all parking violations currently unpaid. This list should include the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date of violation, and total amount due.
As a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to such public records is crucial for us. It enables us to fulfill our professional responsibilities which include not only holding public institutions accountable but also ensuring transparency for the general public.
