FOIA Request to City of Girard Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
South Central Reporter, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the City of Girard. The request was made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, and seeks a list of all parking violations currently unpaid in the city.
The requested information includes the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date of violation, and total amount due. The request emphasizes that this information is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities as a media organization.
