City of Bunker Hill City Council met Nov. 25.

Special Meeting Minutes of the City Council

1. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, and COUNCIL’S PRAYER: Mayor Chapman called the meeting to order at 5:5:22 P.M.

Present: Mayor John Chapman, Council Members Dave Schick, Carlos Arzuagas, Grover Webb, Glenn Bruckert, and City Clerk Heather Kraus

Absent: Council Member Rick Girth, City Treasurer Lisa Webb

Gallery: Ronnie Paul, Adam Lott, Dwight Moore

2. NEW BUSINESS:

A. Approval to Decal Police Vehicles: Chief Zach Girth discussed the need to wrap the vehicles with standard police decals. After some discussion, the request was tabled until the December meeting pending more bids for the work.

B. Approve Hiring FT Police Officer: Chief Zach Girth and the Police Committee recommended hiring Nicholas Martin as a FT Police Officer. Council Member Bruckert made the motion to hire N. Martin effective Dec. 1, 2024. Council Member Schick made the second.

Aye: Schick, Webb, Arzuagas,

Nay: None

Absent: Girth, Bruckert

Motion Carried.

8. ADJOURN: Council Member Arzuagas made the motion, seconded by Council Member Bruckert to adjourn the Special Council Meeting of the City of Bunker Hill of Nov. 25, 2024. Voice vote. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:35 pm.
