FOIA Request to Montgomery County Clerk & Elections Division Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.

A request for information regarding the upcoming spring election candidates was sent to the Montgomery County Clerk & Elections Division. We at South Central Reporter, a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, submitted this request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140).

The request specifically seeks a list of all candidates running in the forthcoming election. Details such as the candidate's first, middle, and last names were requested. Additionally, we asked for information about the office each candidate is running for and its jurisdiction. The party affiliation of each candidate was also requested.

To facilitate direct communication with these candidates for further inquiries or interviews, we also sought their contact information. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.
