In the 2023-24 school year, 51.3% of the students in Southwestern Community Unit School District 9 passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 485 students in Southwestern Community Unit School District 9 who took the ELA portion of the test, approximately 249 (51.3%) passed.

The percentage of Southwestern Community Unit School District 9 students who met or exceeded expectations on the IAR increased by 4.2% compared to the previous school year.
