Macoupin County Board Courts Committee met March 25.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

Members Present: Kristi Dunnagan, Holly Klausing, John Blank, and Aaron Stayton

Members Late: Ryan Kilduff

Members Absent: Jon Payne and Molly Rosentreter

Officials and Department Heads Present: Pete Duncan, Amy Ashby, Corinne Briscoe, Tom Denby, and Jordan Garrison

1. Call to Order

1.1 Roll Call

There were 4 members present with Klausing remote, and three absent.

2. Agenda Items

2.1 Introduction of Judge Denby and Update on Courts

Denby said he was happy to meet with the Courts committee and discussed his goals for the Court system moving forward. He sees a problem with pro-se litigants and the stress it will put on the system moving forward.

Motion to seat Kilduff at 5:02 pm.

Seconded by: John Blank

2.2 Update from Circuit Clerk's office

Ashby said she had just attended new clerk training in Springfield for three days and felt it was a great help.

2.3 Update from Probation Department

Briscoe just reminded the committee that her employees union was waiting until the Courthouse union settled so she was just checking on the status of those negotiations.

Motion by Blank, seconded by Stayton to adjourn at 5:13 pm. All in favor. Motion carried.
