Report: Ramsey spent $9,866 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Ramsey Community Unit School District 204 is up 17 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Fayette County school district spent $8,430 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,866 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 500 to 437.

Ramsey's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
