City of Centralia Airport Advisory Committee met Aug. 16.

V. Old Business
1. Obstruction Study – Phase II – Update
ii. Derek suggested having CMT come to the meeting to give us a status update on the Obstruction Study.
1. Hanger Door repair
iii. CMT told Derek the engineering cost to much for the engineer to do and the city should just continue to repair the hanger. It was suggested to see if the TIPS program would potentially pay to install a new hanger door.
1. Airport Repairs
iv. Pat mentioned we need to finish the fuel branding. The Advisory members present all agreed.
VI. New Business
1. Fuel Branding
ii. We need to add the expense of getting the fire extinguishers inspected monthly rather than annually for the fuel branding.
iii. Pat stated we need to paint, add safety stickers, signage, and an emergency spill kit for the fuel branding. Titan may supply us with all the stickers and necessary signage.
iv. It was suggested to ask Eric what he pays for fuel since he is local and has some of the crop dusters.
v. Additionally, AV fuel could be a different vendor to get our fuel branded from according to Pahnke.
vi. Derek was tasked with determining when our next 5-year fuel inspection will be.
1. Airport Budget
vii. Tom asked to send over the insurance binder from Airgo, so he can follow up to determine their insurance status.
viii. It was suggested to Derek to check with Mt. Vernon to determine Airport Management cots.
ix. Pat suggested that the next airport management contract should include the grass mowing.
VII. Discussion
1. Airport Lay Down Ordinance for Aerial Applicator
ii. It was suggested to Derek to contact CMT about this matter or other local airports.
1. Hangars Rentals
iii. Derek stated that we had three hangers available for rent: one of the new hangers and the other two were the older hangers.
