Valentine's Day serves as an opportunity to express care and affection. Inspired by this sentiment, State Senator Jason Plummer is leading the "Valentines for Seniors" initiative. This program involves delivering cards and letters to residents of nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the 55th District.

“Living in a long-term care facility can sometimes be lonely for residents,” said State Senator Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville). “This program is an opportunity to let them know that we care about them and are thinking of them.”

Senator Plummer seeks the participation of students, scout groups, churches, and other organizations in crafting homemade cards. These will be distributed across various nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and other similar establishments within the district.

Contributions can be submitted until February 7th at Senator Plummer’s District Office located at 310 West Gallatin Street, Vandalia. A drop box will be available during office hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
