Report: South Fork spent $8,005 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at South Fork School District 14 is down 1 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Christian County school district spent $8,062 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,005 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 402 to 327.

South Fork's spending in 2016-17 was 38 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
