Report: South Fork spent $7,905 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at South Fork School District 14 is up 2.3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Christian County school district spent $7,731 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $7,905 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 379 to 331.

South Fork's spending in 2017-18 was 40.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
