Report: South Fork School District spent $10,163 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at South Fork School District 14 was up 32.2 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Christian County school district spent $7,689 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,163 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 350 to 308 students over the same period.

South Fork's spending in 2019-20 was 29.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
