Report: Wesclin School District spent $9,193 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Wesclin Community Unit School District 3 was up 7.1 percent from five years ago, according to the South Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clinton County school district spent $8,580 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,193 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,321 to 1,374 students over the same period.

Wesclin's spending in 2019-20 was 36.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
